YA KINDA SORTA HAD TO BE THERE...

What you find when you look...

The year was um er 1959? 1960?
I do know it was Mr. Hanson the fireman and it was a HUGE deal to have a tour of the fire station.
I remember I was acutely disappointed there was no dog. Nada. None. And I wanted to ride in the fire truck. I felt sure that would be part of the deal.
But we did get graham crackers and some sort of juice.
And we did get the picture. I have moved from place to place but this is a memento I've never lost.
So the contest is on.
Which one is me?
On your mark.
Get set.
GO!!!

Third from the right. That's my guess. What a fun picture :) and a great memory.

Fourth from the right. No doubt about it.

You're the one sitting up on the bumper, marching to your own beat. :)

Easy. You are the little girl in the plaid dress. But my question is, where is this? Is this the Snohomish fire station?

This is the fire station at 175th and Aurora in Shoreline. (Washington State)
It's just up from my old elementary school-- and it's still there. I probably should ask if they want a copy lol!!

Oh this is cute! Either fourth from the right - hole in tights (stockings - but that could just be a mark), boots, tartan dress and a cheeky grin OR second from the left, because she looks like she doesn't like the cold, and maybe just a tad disappointed. What a great photo - one for, where are they now?

I won the last contest so I'll bow out of this one (though if I had to guess, I'd say all the way on the right).

It's funny, I have a new fascination with the 60's, and it's all because of Mad Men. I saw this picture and immediately thought "Oooo, all those kids are same age as Donald Draper's kids. Sweet."

I think I watch too much tv. And I think I need more interesting thoughts :/

okay so far NO ONE has guessed correctly lol!!! (although one person guessed who my twin sister was...)

Okay . . . are second guesses allowed?

second on his left... plaid dress and high-tops. It's the tilt of the head that makes me think so.

haha..i should read everyone's comments before i make my own...

okay... my REAL guess is... the girl farthest to the right!

ORION said...

STILL WRONG!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHA

yes second guesses are allowed...
HINT enlarge the photo by clicking and seeing which child is labeled "Pat"...I thought for sure someone would "cheat" this way lol!!!!!

My guess is Pat is wearing the ruffled plaid dress and the torn tights, 2nd on the left from Mr. Hansen. I see that same gleam in her eye that she has today, still.

Jon said...

Oh, I see! Pat's got the cat-eye glasses!!

I am second from the RIGHT!!!!and my twin sister is third from the right. We are fraternal twins...and yes my hair was much darker then set off nicely by my Bluebird outfit...

I'm too late but I would've guessed the girl on the far left, sitting on the bumper.

Dang!
