IF IT'S MONDAY I MUST BE SITTING IN MY COCKPIT DRINKING COFFEE...

76 DEGREES AND 7 AM

WHAT I AM DOING NOW:
Trying to revise, write, edit my next WIP and finish my homework for my last class for my certificate in disability studies.
WHAT I WANT TO DO:
Start ORION'S engine, loosen the lines, cast off and motor out of the harbor. I want to raise the main sail or maybe just use the jib as there's not much wind today.
I would rather be sailing. I'd rather anchor just off shore at our favorite place and snorkel and swim with the dolphins.
But I'm not.
Life gets in the way of what you want to do.
But not for my beta reader KEVIN. He's my neighbor here at the harbor-- I turned him on to blogging and that's a good thing. Check out his videos. Kevin designs houses and teaches Vectorworks all on his catamaran.
Let me know how you like his videos. He has several on his blog. Make him happy by commenting.
We both know what it's like to have work to do but be tempted by the ocean and the winds.
So now it's back to work. I have to create some difficulties for a few of my protagonists so they don't get complacent.
And then I'm going swimming.
Ah the life of a writer. It's tough but somebody's got to do it...

Don't know how you do it. I think the temptation of cable TV is rough, but the ocean?? I'd be screwed!

Oh, how I love the photograph you selected. I can't tell you how much I'd rather be on a boat, on the ocean (or Sound) than in FRIGID, landlocked Nebraska!!!! I long for the hot, humid days of summer. I never want to wear another parka, turtleneck sweater, fleece-lined gloves, or hat again. I want light-weight sheets instead of flannel. I want to cook shrimp on our BBQ. Enough with the damned soups & chowders!

OK, I'm off to book club. Enjoy your coffee.

Yeah it's a toss up. The ocean or Home Improvement Network...wait...I don't have a home LOL.
Shrimp on the barbie? That sounds good to me!

Well, at least I got to turn the furnace off today!

If you were at a chalet sipping cocoa and tapping at your laptop, and a few hunky ski instructors happen by and want to know if you've signed up for any of their lessons, but you smile and point to Johnny Depp who's bringing you a croissant and you say Johnny's teaching you today, teaching you lots,
well, then I might be jealous.

Johnny? Johnny? Come over here for a second...Christine doesn't believe you're my new cabana boy...

I've only been out on the water once and dozens of pink jellyfish were involved in that little incident.

Ahhh, in my dreams...

It snowed in Alaska on April 5th, 6th, and 7th. (Kimber refrains from throwing dirty socks across the Pacific Ocean at Pat.)

I stopped by Kevin's blog. The dolphins were lovely.

I've just made a promise to myself. One day soon I will go and see the ocean if only once in my life.
