THOSE PESKY CHARACTERS AND NEW AND IMPROVED WEBSITES

MY CATS ARE SERIOUSLY FREAKED...
You Are a Rottweiler Puppy

Powerful, smart, and protective.
You're eager to growl at anyone you hate - but you're a big sweetheart inside.

Check it out. Let me know how you like my NEW AND EVEN MORE IMPROVED WEBSITE.
You may have to hit refresh...

They come by when you least expect it. Characters. Like this one. He wants to be in a novel. He'd prefer to be in a cozy mystery but he'll take a romance...or even a thriller. Like, uh, teenage mutant turtle ninjas . It's a role he's studied carefully. He was made to play it. He's a natural.

75 degrees and 8:21pm.

It was an exciting week. First of all I was taped to be on TV. On one side of me was Charles Memminger - a journalist I admire - and the other side? Gary Moore a Little Richard impersonator. Hey. You can't make this s*** up!
SEE ME HERE AFTER MONDAY It will be broadcast after the 9 pm channel 5 news and also be online.

Afterwards I met the WORLD FAMOUS LIBRARIAN Peg.

I tagged along with Peg and her husband and we wandered around Chinatown in the pouring rain then we all had dinner together. I SO love librarians who come visit me in Hawaii.
So now? Yes it's back to work. With those pesky characters. I need them to come up with at least 20,000 more words in a hurry.
"It was a dark and stormy night for the teenage turtle wannabe mutant ninja. Suddenly a door slammed. A woman screamed. A dog howled. The stock market plunged.
The body floated in the harbor. Meanwhile downtown, Sydney looked in the mirror and felt his growth of beard. Damn that testosterone...
Okay commenters. We have 19,949 words to go. It's all yours.

You can have the first 20,000 from my ms. It ain't going nowhere.

Do you need primary or secondary characters? This could be a fun writing exercise...

A tip for being on tv: don't let your hands flap around like startled birds.

I have only been interviewed on television once and all I could see were my flapping hands.....

And yes, thank you for stopping by my blog. I DID so enjoy your wonderful book.

I live in Nebraska. Hawaii sounds like some sort of dream. Another blizzard coming through tomorrow....

Maria,

I live in Nebraska, too. What are we doing here? We should move to Hawaii. Pat probably has enough room on her boat. ;)

That sea turtle reminds me of the dude in Finding Nemo.

Love the sunglasses. You're already hiding from the paparazzi and the stalkers.

Congrats on the interview!

Thanks for visiting my site, and noting Anna Kay . . . if you scanned my blog, you'd see I've not been here long, don't know much, but am on a day-by-day journey to beat Myasthenia Gravis, my Road to Remission, plus to also give my children, grandchildren, and now great-grandchildren some long ago true tales from the 40s to date.

Putting me with my MG out before the public is the only way I can help let people know about this horrendous disease, (details at the beginning) it is rare (thank goodness there are not many of us ;). I welcome you (and any of your readers) to come back, and learn more about us . . . myasthenics . . . we are as snowflakes, each one of us different.

I plan to check out your book.

Ragdoll has a siamese that looks exactly like girl kitty the motionless muse...

Okay, what is a muse? You just opened up a whole new world for me. I am delving deeper from here. Hope I can gather enough eyesight to read your book; sure going to try it.

Just know that you have put a spark in an *older* lady's life. *s*

Now, off to check about getting an autographed copy of Lottery. I think John Grisham may be the only other author I have of autographed books.

Is everyone here an author?

Forgot . . . and is it wrong . . . to add an invite to my blog to learn more about Myasthenia Gravis, this rare disease I have? Though I have links . . . I'm not sure if asking that is wrong or not. This is all new to me.

Love the new website!

ORION said...

Ragdoll- no need for the invite as the link automatically appears on your name so people usually go check it out! Thanks for asking- the blog-o-sphere is full of these little etiquette details LOL!!
RE LOTTERY...
It's in large print, audio, books on tape and MP3 and ebook...

Definition of MUSE: A large or small object that may or may not be furry that may or may not move, eat, use the litterbox..but that inspires a writer to greater things...

LOVE the new website. Nice colour, great layout, and the dragonfly moves very effectively if you flip quickly from page to page (having first read them carefully of course)! :)

Can't help you with the writing; you're far better than I.

ah nadine- You mean you saw me get tackled on air?

Nadine said...

I just caught the end of it, when he kept asking you the number that Hollywood had mentioned. I thought you handled the continued questioning like a pro, never revealing the answer and always with a smile on your face. You did awesome!
