WHO COULD IT BE NOW?

What's this?

A package?
hmmm...
I wonder where it's from...

The tag says the UK.
Let's open it shall we?

OMG!
A trade paperback!

The export version of LOTTERY.
8:45 am and 80 degrees. I have been up since 4 am. I had an interview at 5 and will have another at 10.
And I just realized that LOTTERY will be released in exactly one week.
What am I doing?
Celebrity nights out?
Champagne breakfasts?
Luxurious Spa days?
Nope.
Googling myself...
Still just googling myself...

Give my best to Gordon this upcoming week, Pat. He's gonna need some wine (possibly even a few meds) to make it through all the nerve jangling angst you'll find yourself tossing around ORION as the 'big countdown' gets closer.

A UK edition to compete with your North American edition. So cool!

I like the cover, Pat. I do. I believe the flames are igniting under the rocket. Enjoy the ride!

This is SO COOL!

It has quite a different feel to it than the American version (which I also like). But WOW! Very exciting.

Yah.... try to get some sleep so you don't get sick!

I like the American cover better. I'm so excited about the Official launch on 8/2. Can't wait. Hang in there.

The UK cover is going to take a bit to grow on me, but only because the US cover hit it on the nose, I think.

If they make a Russian edition, will you post photos so as to tempt me to buy it?

Constantly Googling yourself is almost as bad as obsessively checking your blog stats. Almost.

There is nothing wrong with googling yourself. And contrary to popular myth, you won't go blind.

(though staring at the computer screen for so long may make you have to get reading glasses - I am living proof of that)

The US cover is great. The UK version is good.
But hey, my objectivity is nothing compared to your ecstasy.
Open them champagnes.

I prefer the US cover. But I'll keep as eye on the UK bookshops for you!
And pat, just wait til it starts selling on Amazon. You;ll be checking your sales rank every 5 minutes, I guarantee!

Good luck! I finished Lottery, loved it, and have already recommended it to all my friends.

It will also give you a clawed hand incapable of anything but holding a mouse and a nasty hump on your back. If someone should dare enter your office (like your oh so concerned husband) and interrupts your little OCD ritual, you'll swipe at them and hiss, "My precious, my precious ranking."

As if Pat's blog weren't enough of a joy in itself, the comments make it absolutely priceless. It's so nice to know I'm not alone in the OCD department!

Now would some lovely enabler out there please tell me, exactly how does one check ones sales stats on Amazon?

How about getting out and about and shopping for some new clothes for the signings and interiews? Give your mouse-clicking finger a rest (God knows mine needs a rest lol).

What I'm trying to figure out is: Who's the guest blogger on the first? Is Miss Snark coming out of retirement?

Bravo! Is the type of cover to grab potential readers' attention in those first critical seconds.

Here's a lucky dragonfly from England for you:

Woo hoo!! Countdown!

Can't wait Pat!

(and funny, I just blogged about googling myself)

Huh, that's really an interesting cover. I'm in love with the other, so I'm afraid this one will have to come in second, but it's interesting.:) Congrats!!
